Dundee Team Poker Tournament IV
The Dundee G Casino will be running a team poker event on Sunday 8th April 2012 from 3pm. They ran similar events in November 2010, March 2011 and December 2011 which were very successful. There will be a maximum of 20 teams of 4 so 80 players in total. The buy-in will be £120+£20 per team (£35 per person).
The last event sold out so it’s a good idea to register in advance. To register you have to download and print the registration form from http://pokerindundee.com/Team-Poker-Registation-Form.doc then take it to the Dundee G Casino cash desk with your full £140 buy-in.
The event is structured into 2 rounds. In the first round each team member will play a 10-handed Sit ‘n’ Go on separate tables. There will be 8 SNGs running simultaneously during Round 1. Points will be awarded to each team based on their players’ finishes in these SNGs. There is no money to be won in Round 1. This round should take about 2 hours to complete. 3 of each team will be playing NLH and 1 will be playing PLO in Round 1. When you register you have to decide which person on your team will play the PLO.
In Round 2 all teams combine into a 20-player MTT starting with 2 tables of 10. The starting chips each team gets depends on the number of points they get in Round 1. In Round 2 each team sends in only 1 player to play but they can make substitutions at any time (apart from during a hand). Unlimited substitutions are allowed. Substitutions are completely optional. In addition, each team is allowed 1 time out during Round 2. This can be taken during a hand and the player in the game can confer with his teammates away from the table for 2 minutes to ask for advice on the hand. Round 2 is NLH all the way.
The prizes are awarded like a normal MTT for the top 3 teams. All prize money goes to the team equally. There is no individual element to the tournament. The winning team will also get a trophy.
Dealers are provided for the whole event.
